The proper Epson Driver for Windows 7 is critical to your success.

It's critical that your computer have a "proper" Epson print driver for your operating system, especially when using Windows 7. Epson did not supply Windows 7 printer drivers (or Mac Snow Leopard and Lion printer drivers) on the cd that shipped with your printer. They instead supplied a piece of paper warning you to "download the installer from their website"(see below). If you fail to install the proper printer driver software, then your computer will build a "false generic print driver" that will handle some of the basic print operation, but not all, and not well. AccuRIP will work properly only with natural Epson print drivers. You must download the proper driver installers for your operating system before attaching the USB cable to your computer.

Have you already attached the USB cable but did not install the software ahead of time? It's not too late. Download and install it now and your computer will either rewrite the previous print driver or build a new and proper print driver. Delete any print drivers called EPSON ESC/P-R. If you can't delete the driver and in some cases you do not have the right click option to do this then disconnect the USB cable, run the proper Epson software installer, restart the computer, then attach the USB cable. This should remove the false print driver.

When the proper Epson print driver software has been installed be sure to open AccuRIP and from the File Menu choose SETUP. Go to the section "how is your printer connected". For USB printers choose LOCAL. Click the option "show all ports" and select the proper Epson Stylus print driver port then click OK. This process rebuilds your AccuRIP to Epson Driver.
